Our friends Amy and Joey got free tickets for a CBJ game and so they took us. The seats were GREAT and we had Boston’s Pizza before the game. Joey and Zach also got into a silent auction and Zach won two pictures and Joey won one as well. It was a great time.
For St. Patty’s Day we met up with Joey, Amy, Kevin, Lori, Jill, Beth, and some other people. We went to Hamilton’s Pub, Gatsby’s, and Whiskey Ranch… all I can say is green beer mixed with a mechanical bull is indeed comical!!
For Zach’s birthday we went to Thurman’s and spent every day the week before and the week after watching March Madness but, hey, that’s what he likes….
We GOT THE HOUSE!!! We closed on the 29th of this month. The Curry’s (Michelle and Randy) couldn’t have been any nicer. It’s almost too bad they’re moving because I’m pretty sure we would have had them over for a BBQ!
So now the fun of moving begins… dun dun dun.

February 2010
We took both of our parents to Eddie Merlot on February 7th since neither of them have been there. On this day we got hit with a huge snow storm but we managed to still trek through the snow to enjoy a fabulous dinner. I think both sets of parents really enjoyed it.
Saturday the 7th all of the bridesmaids went to Sara’s to try on our dresses. It was such a fun and neat idea. She ordered all the dresses that we had an interest in trying on and she provided munchies and drinks. It was so much fun trying on the dresses with all the girls! I’m really looking forward to July 24th!
We celebrated my birthday by going to Massage Envy, lunch at Latitude 41, the Valentine’s Day movie, The Rossi for a glass of wine and a slice of pizza, and of course bowling. After a full day of fun we ended the night by going to Otani. Sara, Adam, Kathleen, Lindsay and Dustin came out too to partake in a little karaoke.
And finally…… we found a house!! We went into contract just a day after we saw it for the first time. It’s amazing, so stay tuned to see how it turns out!!

January 2010
I’m going to seriously try my hardest to get better at this blogging thing. So instead of waiting the entire year to write down what we did month by month, I’m going to make it a lot easier on myself and just do it after it happens. We shall see though…
So we started our winter bowling league again. The winter team consists of Zach, myself, Beth and Jill. We’re going to be good this season damn it, I just know it!
We tried some new restaurants this month. Yellow Brick Pizza and Dirty Frank’s. Both are mouthwatering good!! Zach found his Old Style beer at Dirty Frank’s so he’s set for life now.

I started playing volleyball again with the USAV girls and also on Wednesday night with a bunch of attorneys. Trevor Clark from Mr. Collin’s office asked if I could play, so hey why not?!? Since my motto for 2010 is life is too short and only what you make of it, JUST DO IT!
One of the guys on my volleyball team, Eric, recommend that we try the sport of curling. So we tried our hand at it on a Saturday when the Columbus Curling Club has instructional classes. And it was so much fun. In fact, so much fun that we’re going to join a league in March. But seriously, what better way to spend your time than to curl with beer!!

December 2009
December kept us busy. This year the Leckrone’s did something different. We sponsored a needy family in Gahanna and shopped for two little girls. We had so much fun and it meant so much to us all.

Zach and I took our annual Christmas trip and this year we ended up in Niagara Falls, Canada. It was really pretty but freezing. We stayed at the Hilton across from the falls. We had a spectacular view with a Jacuzzi and what they called a “fireplace”. We ate, drank, shopped, and relaxed in the Jacuzzi and the pool, and we gambled. Only this time we left and our pockets were empty. But hey, you win some and you lose some.
We also took a drive up to a really cute town called, Niagara on the Lake. It was quaint, much like uptown Westerville. But it would be nice to go to in the summer when all the wineries are open and you can rent a bike and just ride around the town.
And of course we were busy on Christmas Eve and Day. We always spend Eve with all the Leckrone’s and go to the late church service at Peace. Then we spent Christmas morning and lunch with my family. This year lunch was at grandma’s. And we headed over to Linda’s around 5:00 for a wonderful dinner. It was just the four of us since Sara and Adam spent the evening with his family. They came over later to open up all our stocking stuffers. It was a great Christmas.
And of course we spent New Year’s with Steph and Ryan. It’s always so great to be with them!! As usual we play cards, eat lots of great food. This year Ryan fixed homemade pizza. And they had an entire bar stocked with lots of drinks. But boy did we feel like crap on the way home!

November 2009
Lots of birthdays this month for us: mom, Al, Randy, and dad!!
We took in a few CBJ games this month. One of them was for Al’s birthday. The whole fam went to Boston’s for dinner and then to the game. We had a lot of fun.
We had a really big trip this month. We went with 4 other couples for a Las Vegas trip!! We were invited by the Pittman’s to join them and their friends for the Michigan v. OSU game. And we were so glad that we accepted the offer. We stayed at Planet Hollywood and had the best time. We actually came back with more money than we went out there with, all thanks to the craps tables!! We did lots of shopping and drinking. We even went to a really swanky bar on top of the Rio and some other places, but hey what happens in Vegas… Stays in Vegas!

October 2009
Great news!! I got the Master Data job at BA. I started the 18th of this month and I LOVE IT!!
We started our fall bowling league on Friday nights. Our team this time consists of some fierce competetors: Zach, myself, Beth and Josh Thatcher. And of course it’s more drinking than bowling:)
My personal training is going great!! I’ve lost 11 inches and almost 12 pounds. So all that money forked out each month has paid off!
We also went to Josh's Halloween bash. Zach and I dressed up as an "on fira" couple:) This was the first time I've ever gotten Zach to dress up! And did he look HOT of what?!?

September 2009
I applied for a position at Beauty Avenues within LimitedBrands. So we’re keeping our fingers crossed that I get it, because this JOB isn’t working out at the TAC. My shift has been 2pm – 11pm for the past 4 months. And things are really tough for Zach and I since we’re living with my parents and we are on such weird schedules. But it’s not the first time we’ve hit a road bump. We’ll prevail!
It was also our 3rd Anniversary on September 30, which we celebrated over the weekend at Eddie Merlot and it was so fabulous. We had drinks, sushi, and shared the Steak Diane!! I give it 5 stars!! (oh and my parents were out of town, so you’d think that we would have been parting it up, but instead we were in bed at 10:00)
But on our actual anniversary we spent it in the ER at Mt. Carmel East. Zach had been out mowing that day, and was stung but a bunch of bees. He started to swell up and so he called his parents to come get him at a neighbors house. They took him to urgent care but they said he needed to go straight to the ER. So the Plain Twp medics came to get him. I was on my way into work and didn’t hear that Linda had called to tell me what happened and so when I got to work, the assistant told me that my husband was being rushed to the hospital. I immediately headed for the door, panicked having no idea what was the matter. After doing mach speed to get to the hospital I had actually beat the squad and Al and Linda.
When I saw him, he was so incredibly red, splotchy and swollen and he could barely swallow. The bees had gotten him on his neck and legs. I felt so bad for him. But they pumped him full of drugs and sent us on our way 5 hours later. But he quickly recovered by eating some Roosters wings and dumpster fries!!
